LANGLEY, BC — On Friday, August 7, 2026, Kamilia marked a defining milestone: the official groundbreaking of the 171-home community at 20675 Eastleigh Crescent in Downtown Langley. Under clear summer skies, City of Langley Mayor Nathan Pachal joined the development team, financing partners, general contractors, realtors, and future residents to turn the ceremonial first shovels of soil.
A milestone for Downtown Langley
The ceremony brought together the partners who are bringing Kamilia to life. Mayor Nathan Pachal spoke to the community's role in the City of Langley's growth as a transit-connected urban centre — a future anchored by the incoming Surrey–Langley SkyTrain extension. He was joined by the project's lead architect, Pacific West Architecture, the development consultants and engineering trades, the general contractors, and the sales team who have guided buyers through the presale. Representatives from the project's banking partners were also on site: National Bank of Canada, supporting the development's construction financing, and RBC, whose new-home mortgage program helps Kamilia buyers secure pre-approval and lock in their rate.

From site clearing to shovels in the ground
The groundbreaking follows site demolition that began on June 22, clearing the way for the two six-storey wood-frame buildings that will comprise the Kamilia community. With the ceremony complete, construction is now proceeding on schedule — estimated occupancy is targeted for Q4 2027, with an outside completion date in late 2028.
Kamilia's 171 homes are spread across two buildings and comprise Jr. 2 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom + Flex layouts ranging from 558 to 888 square feet. Every home includes multi-zone air conditioning, 9-foot ceilings, vinyl flooring throughout, window blinds in every room, and the 1Valet smart security system — features typically considered upgrades in competing developments.
Eight minutes from the future SkyTrain
Kamilia sits approximately eight minutes on foot from the future Langley City Centre Station, part of the 16-km Surrey–Langley SkyTrain extension currently under construction. With Fraser Valley pricing well below its 2022 peak and RBC's new-home mortgage program offering buyers pre-approval and rate protection, pre-construction pricing remains a window to lock in today's values ahead of the transit-driven repricing that typically follows station openings.
