$100K Kick-Start Promotion Official Rules

1. Overview and Sponsor

Sponsor: Eastleigh Crescent Development Limited Partnership (referred to as the "Developer") and Magnum Projects Ltd. (the "Marketing and Sales Team") (collectively, the "Sponsor"). Contest Name: Kamilia $100K Kick-Start Promotion (the "Contest").

2. Contest Period and Deadline

The Contest begins on October 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time ("PT") and ends on the Contest End Date.

The Contest End Date shall be the later of the following two dates:

  1. July 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM PT.
  2. The date on which 100 binding purchase and sale agreements have been executed for homes at the Kamilia project.

The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate this contest or extend the Contest Period at any time, subject to local regulations.

3. Eligibility and Entry Requirements

3.1 Eligibility

The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec who have reached the age of majority in their Province of residence as of the time of entry into the Contest. By entering the Contest the entrant represents and warrants to Sponsor that they are a Canadian resident who has reached the age of majority in their Province of residence as of the time of entry. Sponsor will have the right to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest, at any time. Failure to provide such proof may lead to disqualification.

3.2 Not Eligible

Employees, directors, officers, representatives and agents of Sponsor, and its affiliates, are not eligible to enter the Contest, nor is any person with whom such employee, director, officer, representative or agent resides. Essays will be declared ineligible if they are late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, irregular, mutilated, forged, corrupted or mechanically or electronically reproduced.

3.3 Submission Requirements

To enter, participants must submit a written essay (the "Entry") that addresses the key judging criteria (Section 4.1).

  • Format: The Entry must be submitted electronically in a readable document format (e.g., PDF, DOCX).
  • Content: The Entry must be an original work of the participant. Plagiarized or AI-generated content may result in immediate disqualification.
  • Topic: The essay must focus on Kamilia being the best project to buy a home at.
  • Word Count: The essay must not be longer than 1,000 words.

3.4 How to Enter

Submissions must be sent to the official contest email address: 100k.kickstart@KamiliaLangley.ca with the subject line "Kamilia Essay Contest Entry." The submission must include the participant's full legal name, telephone number, and email address.

4. JUDGING AND WINNER SELECTION

4.1 Judging Criteria

All Entries will be judged by the Judging Panel (defined below) based on the following equally weighted criteria(1/4 each) :

  1. Why Live in Langley City: The depth and persuasiveness of the arguments supporting Langley City as a desirable place to live and invest.
  2. Why Presale: The clarity and effectiveness of the arguments supporting the benefits of purchasing a presale home.
  3. Why Kamilia: The compelling nature of the arguments detailing why Kamilia specifically is the superior project compared to other housing options.
  4. How does this relate to you: The personal connection and relatability of the essay to the entrant's life, goals, or aspirations regarding homeownership.

4.2 Judging Panel

The Judging Panel will consist of four (4) appointed judges:

  • Two (2) representatives from Eastleigh Crescent Development Limited Partnership (the Developer).
  • Two (2) representatives from Magnum Projects Ltd. (the Marketing and Sales Team).

4.3 Winner Selection and Notification

The Judging Panel will select the top nine (9) scoring entries. The highest-scoring entry will be awarded the Grand Prize, and the next eight (8) highest-scoring entries will be awarded the Secondary Prizes. Winners will be notified via the email address provided in their Entry within thirty (30) days of the Contest End Date.

5. Prizes

A total of nine (9) cash prizes will be awarded, totalling $500,000 CAD.

All cash prizes will be awarded in Canadian Dollars (CAD) via cheque or electronic funds transfer.

6. General Conditions and Disclaimers

6.1 Originality and Rights

By submitting an Entry, the participant warrants that the Entry is original and grants the Sponsor and its agents a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, and otherwise use the Entry, in whole or in part, for promotional and marketing purposes related to the Kamilia project and future endeavors, without further compensation.

6.2 Taxes and Financial Responsibility

All winners are solely responsible for any and all applicable federal, provincial, and local taxes, duties, and fees associated with the receipt and/or use of the prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for advising winners on tax implications. Winners will be required to provide necessary tax identification information as requested by the Sponsor.

6.3 Final Decision

All decisions of the Judging Panel regarding eligibility, judging, winner selection, and interpretation of these Rules are final and binding in all respects. The Contest is a game of skill (essay writing) and not a game of chance.

6.4 Release and Liability

By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its related entities, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or the use or acceptance of any prize awarded.

6.5 Prize Mechanics

The prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize is unavailable for any reason. If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to comply with any requirement within ten (10) days of notification, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected.

6.6 Privacy

Personal information collected from entrants will be used by the Sponsor for the purpose of administering the Contest and for future marketing of the Kamilia project. Participants may opt out of future marketing communications at any time.

6.7 Termination and Modification

The Sponsor reserves the absolute right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest at any time without notice or liability, should fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control corrupt the administration, security, or integrity of the Contest. In the event of such termination, the Sponsor shall have no further obligation to award any prizes, including unawarded Grand or Secondary Prizes.

6.8 Governing Law

This Contest and its Rules shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
